Dear Harlan: I recently went out on a date with someone and it went great! She even said, “Let’s do it again” at the end of the night. I will ask her out on a second date soon. We have been texting here and there since the date. The question that I would like to ask is, How much texting is too much texting? I don’t want to drive this person away by being clingy. Any advice? – Second Date
Dear Second Date: As a rule, I hate rules. Go with your instincts. Look at texting like you’d look at calling during the early stages of a relationship. How often would you call her? Also, be careful not to text all the headlines in your life before the date. Save something for the date. One suggested rule – no sexting. Most women don’t dig unexpected penis pics popping up on their phones (a select few find it charming).
